We have arrived!!!

Hey all,

Sam here reporting that the Biberstein/Shafer Canada Bound Caravan has arrived at the Days Inn in London Ontario!

The drive was long but it was never difficult. We had to make an emergency stop a few miles outside of Ft. Wayne to buy Kimberly a blanket. Her apparel of T-Shirt and shorts was not warm enough to brave the Canadian North lol. Anyways, as much as I hate to admit it, Wal-Mart was convientatly located right off an exit, and we bought a 5$ fleece blanket and hit the road without too major of a distration.

The ride was pretty smooth until we switched drivers and Kimberly took over. We made it to Lansing and missed our exit. Many miles later, we were headed straight west to GRAND RAPIDS!! I wasn't a good navigator, mainly due to the fact I was napping during this time. ;)

We stopped at Subway in Perry, Michigan after driving downtime for a sitdown restaurant. We appearenly couldn't find one.

We had little trouble crossing the border, the drive across the bridge was fun but we were both nervous being interogated by the border police.

The ride from Port Huron to London took forever. Damn Canadian highways! The speed limit is only 80km or about 60mph. Canada doesn't look much different from the U.S, some of the drivers are assholes though. Eh, I guess we should expect that though.

Tonight we're off to hit the town of London.

Here are some pics from our trip so far (not in order).

So I'm guessing that the blanket was because Sam had the A/C on too high??!! My dad does that all the time to us on trips...must be a male thing. I was hoping that the emergency stop was because I had rubbed off on Kim and passed her my knack for poor bladder control. Darn!
